Kinja'd!!!

The guy has been the backbone of F-1 for decades. He has said some controversial things, but it is hard to say everything he says in the attached interview is wrong.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I would probably disagree with his comments about young audiences and social media. I started watching F1 when I was 10 (30 years ago) and have remained a fan. I am aware of the sponsors, even if I don't use all the products. I follow drivers and press on Twitter and other avenues that Mr E doesn't seem to understand. For the US fan these avenues are critical for keeping up because traditional media largely neglects F-1.

F1 needs some young blood. Bernie can't understand social media He's too old.

Bernie can't understand anything besides not wanting drivers to be killed on the track. And even then I'm not entirely convinced it's not just because deaths would be "bad for business".
